Sewing and Textiles Programme

The sewing and textiles programme provides participants with professional, practical skills in garment construction and textile production. The programme focuses on hands-on training that enables learners to produce high-quality clothing and household textile products.

Participants are trained using industry-relevant techniques and equipment, allowing them to confidently offer services or products within their communities.

  • Pattern reading, measuring, and cutting. 

  • Operation of industrial and domestic sewing machines. 

  • Garment construction and finishing techniques. 

  • Clothing alterations and repairs. 

  • Production of household textiles such as curtains and cushions.
